National Reconciliation Week

25 May 2016 No Comment

Sorry%20Sorry%20Small%20(1)How do you talk to children about reconciliation? It is part of our identity as Australians today to work for reconciliation with our Indigenous sisters and brothers. We know what has happened in the past was wrong and so in Reconciliation Week we remember the journey and share our commitment to a better way forward together.

If you are looking for information to help understand the journey and how we can celebrate reconciliation week as churches, see: http://www.reconciliation.org.au/nrw/resources/

If you are looking for a children’s book to talk with pre-school children about the journey of reconciliation, check out ‘Sorry Sorry’ by Anne Kerr (Available from Boolarong Press: http://www.boolarongpress.com.au/content/bookstore/bookDetails.asp?bookid=860 )
