Hi. My name is Emma Parr and I have recently taken on the role of co-ordinating the work of Uniting Church Scripture (Special Religious Education) teachers in Government Schools in NSW & ACT. ABS reports baby boom in Australia

The ABS reports that with just over 300,000 births for the year ending 30 June 2009, “Australia’s total fertility rate reached a 30 year high with just under 2 babies per woman, the highest since 1977”. The population growth rate is also at its highest level since 1969.
